The #1 Hanover Wild (2-0-0) took down the #3 Manchester Flames (1-1-0) 2-0 in their second game of round robin play.

With the win, the Wild clinched the top seed in their division. The Wild jumped on the Flames early, taking advantage of the extra rest, with Nathan St. Pierre scoring a goal on the first shot of the game going end-to-end. St. Pierre then tallied his second goal of the game after causing a turnover, assists going to Will Brannen and Carter Auch.

The game was largely dominated by the Wild, but Jackson Kapuscinski once again made several huge saves to keep the Wild up by two. The first coming in the 2nd period on a fired shot from the slot that Kapuscinski smothered with his glove. His next notable save coming with just minutes remaining in the game when a Flame forward found himself all alone in front, but Kapuscinski shut the door, closing down the short side opportunity.

The 3rd period saw great physical play from the Wild. Archer Judd laid a big hit on a Flame forward on the forecheck, followed up minutes later with a perfectly executed hip check from Auch. Jake Reznek and Ben Ives followed up a solid game with another great performance.

The Wild coaches were impressed when Brannen took a big hit and Raymond Custodio, the Flames player who made the hit, skated Brannen back to the Wild bench. Sportsmanship at it's finest.

The Wild look ahead to their semifinal matchup tomorrow morning against the #5 Plymouth Predators (1-0-1).
