The Hanover Wild (19-7-0, 13-1-0 NHAH) found themselves on the wrong side of a 13-3 score against the CSB Hawks (1-0-0).

The Wild traveled up to Burlington to take on the very strong Hawks, a team that featured five Division I Vermont High School Hockey players. The Wild fell down 2-0 quickly in the 1st period before Gregor Vogel scored a powerplay goal on a breakaway, beating the Hawks' goaltender five-hole. The 1st period ended with the Hawks up 3-1.

Jackson Kapuscinski made several fantastic saves, playing a much better game than the score showed. A few goals were given up after making multiple saves in a row and getting no help from his defense or center and the others found their way in off of the post, crossbar, or a tip. Nate St. Pierre found the back o the net with an assist going to Vogel, making the score 8-2 after two periods of play.

Archer Judd finished off the scoring for the Wild on a shot that hit the crossbar so hard teams in the other rink must've heard the sound. Carter Auch was awarded an assist on the goal and the Wild were taken down 13-3. Teddy Lyons and Will Fichman played great defensively for the Wild, holding the strong skating, skilled Hawk forwards to as few scoring chances as they could.

The Wild look to close out their four-game series against the Henniker Huskies (5-5-3 NHAHA) with a win next Sunday at Barwood Arena.
