The Hanover Wild (19-6-0, 13-1-0 NHAHA) defeated the Oyster River Cats (3-7-0 NHAHA) 8-2 at Churchill Rink.

The Wild started strong with a goal from Archer Judd on a rebound from a Quinn Murnaghan shot. Nate St. Pierre made the lead 2-0 on a backhand shot high to the glove side followed by a goal from Carter Auch with assists going to Gregor Vogel and St. Pierre. The Wild took a 4-0 lead on Judd's second goal of the night with an assist going to Auch.

After solid play from Jackson Kapuscinski when called upon, the Cats finally broke through to make the score 4-1 to head into the 2nd period. St. Pierre scored the only goal in the 2nd on a slapshot from the point that found its way to the back of the net with an assist going to Will Fichman.

Judd completed his hat-trick early in the 3rd period on a breakaway after a great breakout from Jake Reznek and St. Pierre. The Cats made the score 6-2 before Auch scored a goal from Reznek. Teddy Lyons finished off the scoring after a fantastic forecheck, doing all of the work himself before finally creating the turnover and scoring a goal high to the blocker side to send the Wild home with the 8-2 victory.

The Wild look ahead to Sunday when they take on a very strong USB Hawks (0-0-0) team at Cairns Arena.
