The Hanover Wild (18-6-0, 12-1-0 NHAHA) shutout the Cardigan Cougars (2-5-0) 5-0 in the final game of their series.
In what could be their final meeting of the season, the Wild sent home the Cougars with a bad taste in their mouth. Brian Daley, lending a hand to boost numbers, led off the scoring for the Wild with an assist from Jake Reznek. Less than a minute later Reznek picked up his second assist of the night on a goal from Will Brannen.
The Wild carried the 2-0 lead all the way into the 3rd period when they picked up another goal from Gregor Vogel with assists going to Daley and Brannen. Carter Auch picked up his 9th goal of the season unassisted to give the Wild a 4-0 lead. The Wild finished off the scoring on Brannen's second goal of the night on assists from Vogel and Daley.
Jackson Kapuscinski shut the door to earn his 6th shutout of the season.
The Wild look to continue their success on the road against the hungry Oyster River Cats (3-6-0 NHAHA).
