Will Brannen is one of the most improved players this season. His small size may fool many people, but the Wild know he is willing to get into the dirty areas and make plays. After adjusting to the game with hitting allowed, Brannen found his game.
Seldom do you see a shift where he is not parked in front of the opposing goaltender, creating many scoring opportunities for both himself and his linemates. One of the smallest players on the team plays like he is one of the biggest when he is in front of the net, battling with opposing defenseman for the better position.
Brannen is an extremely hard worker. He works hard at both ends of the ice and plays his role very well. He has done a great job understanding the complexities of the game--something he hasn't been taught in past years of playing. The pride he takes in putting on the Hanover Wild jersey is something a coach wants from every player and does not go unnoticed.
The coaches are impressed with how far will has come already this season, but hope to improve his strength and his ability to play multiple different strategies with an open mind.
