The Hanover Wild (11-4-0, 10-1-0 NHAHA) defeated the Keene Cobras (0-6-2 NHAHA) at Keene Ice 6-1.

The Wild had their first game back after a weeklong holiday break, for many of the players it was even their first time on the ice since the break. Considering the long time off, the Wild didn't do a terrible job in their 6-1 win. Nathan St. Pierre got the Wild off to a good start with a rebound goal after a great forecheck from Ben Ives who worked the cycle perfectly with Gregor Vogel who fed St. Pierre in front of the net.

Teddy Lyons fired a slapshot home from the point on a second effort after Carter Auch's shot got blocked, beating the Cobra goaltender five-hole. The 1st period ended with the Wild up 2-0, though the score did not reflect how much puck possession the Wild had.

Ives started off the scoring in the 2nd period, weaving his way through the Cobra defenders before wristing one home off the left post and in with an assist going to Lyons. Linemate Jake Reznek gave the Wild a 4-0 lead on the same shift after he received a pass from Will Fichman and dangled a defender before going off the right post and in for the goal.

St. Pierre added two more Wild goals at the end of the period in very similar fashion. The first a wrister that squeaked through the pads of the Cobra goaltender with an assist to Will Brannen and the second a centering feed that the goalie tried to deflect and put it right into his own net. This capped off St. Pierre's second hat-trick of the season.

Jackson Kapuscinski played solid in net, giving up the lone goal on an unstoppable tip. Just before he robbed a Cobra attacker on a backdoor pass, sliding across the crease and kicking it out then making two more saves on rebounds in desperation mode. Cart

The Wild will take on the CSB Hawks (0-0-0) tomorrow at Cairns Arena and look to get back to midseason form.
