The Hanover Wild (15-5-0, 11-1-0 NHAHA) defeated the Cardigan Cougars (1-4-0) 5-2 in another matchup at Turner Arena.

The Wild started off strong in the 1st period, Nathan St. Pierre capatilizing on a scoring chance to give the Wild a 1-0 lead just two and a half minutes into the game. Gregor Vogel scored five minutes later with an assist from St. Pierre. St. Pierre capped off his three point period with another goal late in the 1st period to give the Wild a 3-0 lead headed into the 2nd.

The Wild had a short lapse in mental play after watching teammate Ben Ives go down, but were able to rally back after giving up two unanswered goals to get a goal of their own from Carter Auch. Auch then capped off the scoring for the night with a 3rd period powerplay goal on an empty net to give the Wild a 5-2 victory.

The Wild look ahead to an identical matchup against the Cougars next Wednesday at 5:30pm.
