Jackson Kapuscinski was selected as an Alternate Captain this season. His work ethic during conditioning in practice is unmatched. Even when he is excused from conditioning, he joins his teammates on the line and skates. Kapuscinski is a big time player, seeming to make big saves in opportune moments nearly every time.

He is the kind of goalie any team would want. He has a short memory, so even when he gives up a goal he is refocused and ready to go by the time the puck gets dropped. He may not be the loudest guy in the locker room, but he leads by example.

Kapuscinski is not only a different goaltender because he is a lefty, but he is also a rare style of goaltender: Stand-Up. His style of play frustrates opposing players because everyone wants to score upstairs. However, his style helps keep the top half of the net filled.

The coaches are impressed with how much he has improved so far this season, noting his ability to come out of the net to help out his teammates. The coaches also hope to improve Kapuscinski's rebound control and glove hand.
