Jake Reznek has proven to be the most consistent forward on offense and defense all season long. Reznek has qualities that the coaches have compared to Patrice Bergeron of the Boston Bruins. Reznek may not be leading the team in points, but without him they would suffer greatly.
His puck control and patience is commendable. Reznek never rushes a play and always works hard to earn time and space to let plays develop. His spin move is unmatched and his ability to protect the puck in the corner is unbelievable for his size.
When Reznek does not have the puck, he is always in great defensive position. He is often the third guy high on the forecheck, covering for pinching defenseman. In the defensive zone Reznek is always willing to take a hit to chip the puck out of the zone. He has showed a lot of improvement on the breakout, learning to use the wall as a great indirect pass for his linemates to skate on to.
The coaches hope to improve Reznek's strength this season, hoping it will help him keep his game when playing bigger, stronger players.
