The Hanover Wild (9-4-0, 8-1-0 NHAHA) shutout the Manchester Flames (4-3-0 NHAHA) at West Side Arena.

The Wild came into the game with just eight skaters as they took on a very good Flames team. The Wild were ready to battle, however, playing a pretty strong first period. While the game was not filled with the shots, the final tally 15-5 in favor of the Wild, it was a great game to watch.

The Wild and Flames played to a scoreless tie after two periods, with Jackson Kapuscinski making some great stops early to keep it 0-0. Solid defense from Carter Auch, Tom Lyons, and Gregor Vogel were huge in the winning effort. Ben Ives created multiple scoring opportunities, one after a nifty move and stepping in front of the net before getting robbed by the Flames' goaltender.

The Wild finally broke through in the 3rd period with 6:37 remaining on a goal from Nathan St. Pierre who broke free after a feed from Archer Judd. Though it was late in a game with few players, St. Pierre gave it everything he had to create the breakaway and fought through two diving Flame defenders before sliding the puck five-hole to give the Wild a 1-0 lead.

That's all they would need as Kapuscinski shut the door on the Flames the rest of the way. Quinn Murnaghan added an insurance goal with 1:26 to go in the game after a great forecheck and pass from Jake Reznek.

"That was a great effort." Dodds said after the game. "I asked them to give me 100% each and every shift and they did just that. That's all they can do." Dodds also pointed to hard work during conditioning in practice contributing to the win.

The Wild look to rest up tonight as they face Kearsarge (0-3-0 NHAHA), the only team the Wild have not faced in league play, tomorrow at Proctor Academy
