The Hanover Wild (5-4-0, 4-1-0 NHAHA) were defeated by the Cardigan Cougars (1-1-0) at Turner Arena 2-1.
The Wild came off a pretty solid weekend, with a good win and a hard fought loss. Jake Reznek scored on the powerplay from Gregor Vogel to open the scoring, but the Wild had a disappointing effort from that point forward.
With no goals on the next four powerplay opportunities and giving up two unanswered goals, the Wild went home with a loss in a game they should have easily won. Coach Coté pointed to unpreparedness and a lack of effort as key factors to the disappointing loss.
The Wild will move forward and straighten things out at practice before facing the scrappy Plymouth Predators (3-3-1 NHAHA) at Union Arena this Saturday at 3:20.
