The Hanover Wild (4-2-0, 4-1-0 NHAHA) bounced back after a disappointing loss to shutout the Oyster River Cats (1-4-0 NHAHA) 4-0 in league play.

The Wild did a great job forgetting their tough loss earlier in the day and starting fresh. "I challenged them to come out and start fast." Dodds said after the game. "We've struggled with our starts and it has hurt us. They accepted the challenge." The Wild jumped out to a hot start, tallying 14 shots in the 1st period compared to the Cats' 3.

Coach Dodds in a stroke of brilliance moved Teddy Lyons up to forward to replace scoring threat Nathan St. Pierre and it paid off. Lyons wasted no time making Dodds look good as he scored a goal five-hole off a great feed from Gregor Vogel.

Will Fichman took over the game in the 2nd period, scoring two goals to put the Wild up 3-0. On his first, Fichman went end-to-end showing off his speed, blowing by all of the Cats' defenders and beating the goaltender five-hole. On his 2nd, Fichman received a pass from Vogel at the point and fired home a wrister--a goal that would never have been scored without a fantastic screen in front of the net by Will Brannen.

The Wild capped off the 2nd period with a goal from Archer Judd, who received a centering pass from Ben Ives and buried it glove side--Carter Auch also received an assist on the play. The Wild took the 4-0 lead into the 3rd period where solid defense from Auch, Jake Reznek, and Quinn Murnaghan helped secure Jackson Kapuscinski's second shutout of the season.

The Wild outshot the Cats 15-2 in the 3rd period, led by nearly perfect offensive play by Lyons who was a pest all night for Cats' defenders. The Wild dominated the game from start to finish, winning all but 6 faceoffs and outshooting the Cats 46-7.

The Wild look ahead to next weekend when they take on local rival Cardigan Cougars (0-0-0).
