In honor of Thanksgiving, the two HHA bantam hockey teams came together to have a fun scrimmage on the ice. This was not a normal scrimmage, however. This was a game of football.
Team White started off hot, building up an early 30-6 lead. Team Black slowly made their way back, pulling within 14 points with just two minutes remaining--Team White holding the 48-34 lead.
After an interception, Team Black punched one into the endzone to make it a 7-point game. Team Black recovered and onside kick to give them the ball with just enough time for one play to tie the game. Team Black went with a draw play, a play that they ran many times in their attempt at a comeback, but were stopped just feet short of the goalline.
After an hour of some great football, Team White held on to their early lead for a 48-41 victory over Team Black. We wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!
